Christian Counseling Association

Serving the Capital Region for 30 years. Distintively Christian, Quality Mental Healthcare

Welcome to Christian Counseling Associates

Our priority is client service, our roots are in local church ministry, our mission is to serve the Kingdom of God, and our highest resource is the Word of God. Our method is to provide contemporary, quality, clinical services that meet today's best practice standards regarding efficiency and effectiveness.

People come to CCA for two reasons:

  1. Help with an identifiable spiritual, emotional, behavioral or relationship difficulty, and/or
  2. Help with growth toward spiritual, emotional or relational maturity and the fulfillment of personal dreams, vision and potential.

These are excellent reasons for seeking assistance.

God desires that we have an accurate assessment of where we are.

"You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom." (Psalm 51:6).

He has already identified His goal for each of us who are in Christ.

"For whom He foreknew, he also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son" (Romans 8:29).

To discern and join in what God is doing in our clients’ lives is our highest goal and privilege. At CCA, we believe the Lord has called us to participate in His ministry of good news to the afflicted, healing for broken hearts, liberty to captives, sight for the blind, freedom for the oppressed, and awareness of the time of God's favor. It is because of His grace and love toward us that we are able to face the often painful truth with hope and confidence. Nothing is beyond His ability to transform us into something for which we can praise Him (Isaiah 61:1-3).

We regularly assist clients to draw back temporarily from the immediacy of their lives, for a lifespan perspective on themselves. T.S. Elliot said, "our difficulties of the moment must always be dealt with somehow, but our permanent difficulties are difficulties of every moment. " It is wise to set aside time, energy and financial resources toward changing the enduring, often self-defeating patterns of behavior, and healing the emotional wounds that color every moment of our lives. We are confident those who do will be very grateful, not only at the end of life looking back, but every day along the way!

At your service in His Service,

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6).
